Job Title: Quality Lead

Role Overview:

Optimus Search has partnered with an innovative semiconductor company based in Lausanne. As the Quality Lead, you will be responsible for driving all quality activities across the product development lifecycle, from concept to production.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Execute Quality Initiatives: Design and implement quality strategies that support company objectives and can adapt to changing project demands, emphasising both efficiency and performance.
• Comprehensive Quality Oversight: Manage quality efforts across the entire product lifecycle, embedding quality standards into development, prototyping, and manufacturing stages.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers to define quality expectations and ensure product specifications are met.
• Establish and Evolve QA Practices: Develop and refine quality assurance systems suited to the dynamic startup environment, including test strategies, validation procedures, and success metrics.
• Promote a Quality-Driven Culture: Lead efforts to instill a quality-first mindset across teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Focus on Customer Needs: Prioritise customer perspective in all quality efforts by integrating user feedback into product design and QA processes.
• Active Testing Involvement: Engage directly in testing and validation to detect issues early and ensure swift resolution.
• Clear Documentation and Communication: Keep thorough records of quality processes and results, and regularly communicate findings and progress to leadership.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a closely related discipline.
• Professional Experience: At least 8 years of experience in quality management, ideally in a startup or other fast-paced setting within the semiconductor space
• Quality Expertise: In-depth knowledge of industry-recognised quality standards and frameworks (such as ISO and Six Sigma) applicable to tech product development.
• Lifecycle QA Management: Proven track record in overseeing quality assurance activities across all stages of the product lifecycle.
• Adaptability: Comfortable in dynamic environments and open to evolving responsibilities and new challenges.
