Zusammenfassung

Lonza Group Ltd. is seeking a QC professional to join the Physical Analytics team in a GMP-regulated environment. You will own analytical testing, lab equipment, and drive continuous improvement of processes.

You will perform physico-chemical analyses (pH, Karl Fischer, UV), ensure timely GMP-compliant testing, and contribute to method development. Collaboration and training of colleagues are key, along with some on-call duties. English and basic German are expected.

Qualifikationen

  • Completed apprenticeship or degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a comparable scientific discipline.
  • Initial or several years of experience in Quality Control, ideally GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing.
  • Experience with physico-chemical analytical techniques: pH, Karl Fischer, UV spectroscopy, Osmolality, Conductivity.
  • Good command of English and basic German.

Aufgaben

  • Perform, evaluate, and document physico-chemical analyses in compliance with cGMP, regulatory expectations, and internal procedures.
  • Ensure timely and GMP-compliant execution of assigned testing activities.
  • Take responsibility for designated laboratory equipment, including calibration and qualification.
  • Support troubleshooting, deviation investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to development and optimization of laboratory processes and analytical methods.
  • Assist onboarding and training of new team members and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in on-call duty roaster as scheduled.

What you will do:

What we are looking for:
  • Completed apprenticeship or degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a comparable scientific discipline.
  • Initial or several years of experience in Quality Control, ideally within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with physical and physico-chemical analytical techniques, such as:
  • pH measurements
  • Karl Fischer titration
  • UV spectroscopy for protein concentration determination
  • Osmolality and conductivity measurements
  • Strong quality mindset and understanding of GMP and compliance requirements.
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Good command of English and basic German skills.
