PySpark Developer - Spark, Databricks, Azure, Python - long-term contract opportunity to join our Zürich-based client in the financial sector.

Your tasks:

1. Participate in a major transformation project.
2. Implement production-ready data pipelines using PySpark on Databricks based on specifications provided by business analysts.
3. Collaborate with data engineers and solution architects to meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Your experience/knowledge:

1. Strong experience with PySpark or Spark, Delta Lake, Databricks, and Azure fundamentals.
2. Strong software engineering skills, including familiarity with design patterns and best practices.
3. Experience developing complex software systems as a software engineer.
4. Understanding of data engineering techniques with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, and analytical frameworks.
5. Core Python software engineering experience.
6. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
7. Excellent comprehension skills with attention to detail.
8. High self-organization and time management skills.
9. Analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
