For one of our clients in the Scientific Sector, we are recruiting a Purchasing & Supplier Strategy Manager (100%) based in the canton of Fribourg.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the regional purchasing team, ensuring efficient sourcing strategies and operational performance.
  • Secure supply continuity by proactively managing critical situations and ensuring timely material availability.
  • Implement initiatives to optimize purchasing costs and improve material efficiency.
  • Manage and strengthen supplier partnerships to ensure competitive conditions and long-term collaboration.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to safeguard operations.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts to achieve favorable commercial agreements.
  • Monitor procurement performance through KPIs and take corrective actions when required.
  • Work closely with production, quality, finance, and other internal stakeholders to align purchasing activities with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, preferably in direct materials, and ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with analytical abilities, able to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and digital tools.
