Job summary

Ansaldo Energia in Switzerland seeks a Lead EPC Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and implement energy sector projects, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, mitigate risks, and coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction with cross‑functional teams. Travel up to 25% worldwide.

Fluent in English and German; a Bachelor's in Engineering is required; 5+ years of complex project leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years managing complex EPC projects in the energy sector.
• Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of engineering, procurement and construction processes.
• Experience in risk analysis, mitigation, and contract negotiation is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English and German; Italian a plus.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive projects to deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder updates and client interactions.

Position:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of EPC projects in the Energy sector
• Ensure compliance with all project safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Manage project scope, timeline, and budget, and mitigate risks effectively
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors
• Monitor project progress, prepare regular reports, and implement corrective actions as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering or a related field
• Experience of at least 5 years in managing complex projects
• Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
• Understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction processes
• Experience in risk analysis and mitigation, contract negotiation, control of project costs or vendor management will be a plus
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and German. Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, set priorities, and drive project teams to meet deadlines and objectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder updates, client interactions, and team coordination
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to solving issues as they arise in a project environment
• No preclusion to trip's time, duration and destination
• 25% availability to travel, globally
