Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Project Lead Engineer and Functional Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the technical planning and execution of gas-insulated switchgear projects, ensuring timely completion, scope adherence, and high-quality standards. As the Functional Lead for extension projects, you will ensure successful execution by the engineering team.

How you’ll make an impact

1. Project planning and technical detailing of gas-insulated switchgear, including preparation of all necessary documents for order, fabrication, assembly, and customers.
2. Discussing technical solutions with customers and internal stakeholders.
3. Managing all technical communication channels internally and externally.
4. Project execution and ordering of required materials, including necessary configurations.
5. Responsibility for project costs, deadlines, and scope of delivery.
6. Serving as the functional lead of one Project Lead Engineer in Switzerland and one in our extended workbench, focusing on extension projects.
7. Overall responsibility for the successful execution of extension projects within engineering, overseeing the process from technical handover through engineering, production, until project close-out.
8. Elaborating quality cases and improvement processes in detail.
9. Providing technical support until the completion of on-site assembly.
10. Occasional travel to customer meetings or site visits.

Your background

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in project engineering of gas-insulated switchgear.
3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
4. Proven leadership and communication skills managing engineering teams or in a functional management role.
5. Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
6. Ability to develop project schedules and track progress.
7. Familiarity with supporting various project phases, including production, transportation, installation, and testing.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Experience coordinating resources, materials, and equipment.
10. Ability to work effectively within an international team environment.
11. Fluent in English; proficiency in German, Spanish, or French is a plus.
