Position: Product Safety Specialist Material Declaration, Risch-Rotkreuz

Job Description:

As a Product Safety Specialist (m/f/d), you will be a member of our global unit "Diagnostics Product Sustainability & Compliance." The Compliance Operations department manages data and processes within Diagnostics Quality & Regulatory to ensure chemical and environmental compliance throughout the product lifecycle, including development, transport, handling, marketing, and disposal. Our goal is to ensure compliance for patient safety and to reduce environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage data and maintain master data in SAP EH&S(M), S/4HANA, and evaluate chemical law compliance for products as part of material declaration processes.
2. Develop and improve EHS data management, processes, and system architecture.
3. Serve as key user for EH&S data management tools, supporting system property determinations and process monitoring.
4. Ensure data quality, conformity, and perform plausibility checks.
5. Act as first-level support for local and global functions regarding chemical and environmental regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Degree in natural sciences, engineering, information sciences, or comparable.
• Experience in IVD product development, manufacturing, product safety, or EHS master data management in relevant industries.
• Understanding of chemical compositions in diagnostic products and packaging.
• Knowledge of chemical and environmental regulations (REACH, RoHS, WEEE, California Proposition 65).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to request and obtain material information from suppliers.
• Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Understanding of SAP modules like SAP EHS or SAP MM.
• Data handling affinity and interest in data science.
• Experience in agile project management or environments.
• Proficiency in English and preferably German.

Locations: Rotkreuz, Mannheim, Basel, Ludwigsburg, or Sant Cugat del Valles.
