CSL Plasma is looking for a Product Owner to enhance Agile lifecycle capabilities across the organization. You will lead the integration of various tools like Jira and Confluence to optimize development processes while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This hybrid role offers a balance of onsite and remote work, aiming to foster collaboration and innovation in a supportive environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Associate Director, Testing Center of Excellence and I&T Tools, you will lead the vision, delivery, and continuous improvement of Agile lifecycle capabilities across the enterprise. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless integration of agile planning, collaboration, documentation, and quality assurance processes aligned with enterprise goals and regulatory standards.
You will own and evolve a portfolio of tools—including Jira, Confluence, X-Ray, codeBeamer, and other Atlassian apps—ensuring they are optimized to support agile delivery, development, test automation, and compliance throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will also drive agile SDLC governance, including oversight of managed service partners that support the platform. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid
The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership & Strategy: Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for Agile and test management tools that maximizes value for products. Champion tool adoption, standardization, collaboration, and best practices across I&T teams. Prioritize and manage the product backlog in alignment with enterprise testing, agile delivery strategies and a product delivery model.
Tooling & Platform Management: Own the configuration, integration, and lifecycle of tools such as Jira, Confluence, X-Ray, HP ALM, codeBeamer, Atlassian Apps, etc.,. Monitor platform usage, gather feedback, and prioritize enhancements. Ensure alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, audit readiness) while actively owning and managing change, release and deployment cycles for the platform.
Collaboration & Integration: Act as the voice of the customer and end users, translating business needs into actionable product features and enhancements. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and integration teams to ensure seamless alignment with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments.
Governance & Frameworks: Establish and enforce SDLC governance frameworks, integrating GxP compliance, Agile best practices and SDLC. Bring standards, best practices, and high levels of automation across all phases of the development lifecycle. Drive adherence to regulatory and quality standards by embedding compliance checkpoints, documentation and validation controls, within the SDLC. Champion a culture of accountability and quality by providing training, tools, and oversight to development and testing teams, while ensuring that all processes support scalability, security, and business agility
Partner Management: Establish and maintain strong, strategic relationships with product vendors and partners to ensure alignment with our enterprise objectives and product roadmap. This includes ensuring vendors have a clear understanding of our direction, enabling us to fully leverage their capabilities and features, while securing optimal service and support. Additionally, oversee managed service partners responsible for delivering platform services, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs, conducting regular performance reviews, and driving maximum value realization from all partner engagements.
People & Talent development: Lead a mid-sized team of engineers, fostering professional growth and operational excellence. Provide mentorship and guidance for the team and the broader technology delivery organization.
Technology Trends: Stay up to date on current trends in industry and within the technology landscape while adopting and refining best practices that drive measurable value across the enterprise.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's degree with a preferred focus in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in product or process ownership of agile and or other SDLC tools, agile delivery, or test management roles.
5+ years of experience leading managed and or working with service partners monitoring SLA's and KPI's, establishing governance and capturing enterprise value
Deep understanding of agile methodologies, SDLC, Change and Release Management, test lifecycle management including a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent agile certification.
Proven hands-on experience with Agile and ALM tools such as Jira, Confluence, Atlassian apps, HP ALM, Tosca,, Neoload, etc., including experience with administration of these tools
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) and with AI/ML
Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and drive tool adoption at scale including a strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., life sciences) with knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP desired
