Job summary

AGI GROUP in Zürich seeks a Product Manager to shape the portfolio of jacketed laboratory reactors, filter reactors, and solutions for distillation, evaporation, and extraction.

You’ll translate customer needs and market insights into opportunities that leverage internal engineering competencies and untapped digitalisation and automation potential, enabling scientists to accelerate life-changing innovations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biopharma, Process Engineering, or related field.
• Understanding of process development and unit operations like reaction, filtration, distillation, evaporation.
• Experience with larger lab reactor systems; scale-up or tech transfer is a plus.
• Commercial mindset with ability to turn technical needs into marketable solutions.
• Strong communication across functions with English fluency.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites and events.

At AGI GROUP, we develop advanced laboratory solutions that help chemists and process-development teams work more effectively. We are looking for a Product Manager to shape our portfolio of jacketed laboratory reactors, filter reactors, and solutions for distillation, evaporation, and extraction.

By translating customer needs and market insights into opportunities that leverage internal engineering competencies and untapped digitalisation and automation potential, you enable scientists in chemical research and development to accelerate life-changing innovations.

What You’ll Do

• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for advanced laboratory reactor and separation systems.
• Turn customer applications, market insights, and unmet customer needs into clear product requirements and development priorities.
• Work closely with mechanical, electronics and software engineering, as well as sales and marketing, to develop and successfully launch new solutions.
• Engage with customers in pharmaceutical, biopharma, fine-chemical, and related industries to understand workflows, pain points, and untapped opportunities.
• Define target segments and value propositions, and support sales with technical guidance, product training, customer presentations, and competitor insights.
• Monitor portfolio performance, profitability, customer feedback, quality, and compliance.

What You Bring

• A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biopharma, Process Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Solid understanding of process development and key unit operations, such as reaction, filtration, extraction, distillation, and evaporation.
• Hands-on experience with larger laboratory reactor systems, scale-up or technology transfer is beneficial. Candidates with transferable experience and a strong interest in deepening their expertise are equally welcome.
• A commercial mindset combined with structured problem-solving, ownership, and the ability to turn complex technical needs into marketable solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively across functions, cultures and management levels; professional fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites, trade shows, and manufacturing facilities.
