Job Description:

Hitachi Energy offers mission critical communication products and solutions for operational telecommunication networks that are part of a country's critical infrastructure, such as electrical power grids or railways. We are seeking a Product Manager focusing on Network Management and Cyber Security for our Operational Telecommunication Solutions within our mission critical communication portfolio.

In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders within the business unit, other company members, and external partners to define our Network Management System offerings, blueprints, and reference architectures for secure OT solutions. You will also be part of the Hitachi Energy Cyber Security community, driving the cybersecurity strategy for our product line.

Your responsibilities

1. Drive our Network Management System offerings forward by monitoring relevant solutions and products in the market and influencing our roadmaps.
2. Support business results through overseeing all stages of the product lifecycle, including development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability, ensuring a cohesive wired communication portfolio.
3. Coordinate and supervise the product roadmap, define recovery plans, and collaborate with other Product Managers on overall offerings and functionalities.
4. Identify and address cybersecurity needs at the product and system levels.
5. Lead cybersecurity initiatives to increase revenue streams from security activities.
6. Share product and solution knowledge across the organization and gather market intelligence relevant to our products and systems, disseminating this within the Product Management community and other departments like sales and marketing.
7. Understand market needs and application knowledge for targeted segments.
8. Develop go-to-market strategies in collaboration with stakeholders to address different segments.
9. Initiate and support market-relevant cybersecurity certifications.

Your background

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Development, or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience with operational telecommunication or IT systems in a similar role.
3. Deep knowledge of Network Management Systems and Cybersecurity, preferably in operational telecommunication environments.
4. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience across various seniority levels.
5. Fluent in English and German or French; additional languages are a plus.
6. Ability to independently solve complex problems, present findings, and motivate teams.
7. Ability to integrate technical knowledge of telecommunication networks or IT with customer needs and business opportunities.
8. Experience in developing new business opportunities and market offerings.
9. Leadership skills to guide others in delivering tasks and implementing new functionalities, even without direct reports.
