The Product Manager is responsible for developing the positioning, strategy, and promotional campaigns for therapeutic solutions to increase product performance and better meet patient needs.
RESPONSABILITIES
Strategic & Marketing Planning
- Design and implement strategic and operational marketing plans for both existing and new products (including target segmentation, positioning, key messages, channel mix, promotional campaigns, KPIs, and calendar).
- Define the product positioning, target patient populations, and differentiation from competitors based on in-depth market analysis and understanding of healthcare professionals (HCPs), pharmacists, and patient needs.
Product Launches
- Plan and execute successful product launches.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure sales team training, promotional materials, and product knowledge support are in place.
Promotional Execution
- Lead the implementation of promotional activities to achieve sales objectives.
- Oversee medical visits, pharmacy campaigns, and public outreach.
- Develop marketing materials and organize events.
- Monitor product performance, forecast, and make recommendations on lifecycle and product management strategies.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines and promotional budget.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer expectations, and opportunities.
- Maintain updated knowledge through scientific monitoring and participation in congresses.
- Apply insights to make strategic decisions and optimize product plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal and global stakeholders (medical affairs, sales, market access, regulatory) to ensure coordinated strategies.
Sales Enablement : Provide tools, training, and product expertise to support the sales force.
- Medical Collaboration : Define and implement medical-marketing action plans, cross-functional projects, and organize events or symposia.
Stakeholder & Expert Engagement
- Identify and engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to gather insights, build strong relationships, and support advocacy and educational initiatives.
Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure all product-related activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on industry standards and integrate compliance into marketing initiatives.
PROFILE
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences (PharmD, PhD, MSc)
- At least 3 years of experience on a product management or close positions
- Fluent in German French and English
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and OTC industry, market dynamics, therapeutic guidelines, and healthcare regulations in Switzerland.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to turn market insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in French and German.
- Proven ability to plan and execute product action plans and launches, including positioning, market analysis, and promotion strategy.
- Collaborative mindset with cross-functional awareness.
- Result-driven approach focused on sales growth and market share expansion.
- Project management skills : ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
