Job summary

Wallee Group in Switzerland seeks a Product Line Manager to own a full product life cycle, from concept through End-of-Life, including hardware/firmware generations and roadmap planning for FinTech solutions.

You will balance strategic portfolio management with vertical market insights (retail, hospitality, events), collaborate across Engineering, Sales, and Support, and drive go-to-market plans while ensuring regulatory compliance and supplier alignment.

Qualifications

• Product management experience with portfolio or product line ownership in fintech, payments or hardware-enabled software.
• Understanding or familiarity with payment certification and compliance topics (PCI, EMV, ep2).
• Experience or strong interest in specific industry verticals, with market research and competitor analysis."
• Strategic and analytical mindset with problem-solving focus."
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, comfortable managing internal stakeholders and external supplier relationships."
• Fluent in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Own the product journey from concept to decommissioning, defining launch criteria, target segments, success metrics and forward-looking successor products before hardware/firmware changes.
• Maintain a structured view of all variants (terminal types, SoftPOS vs. hardware POS) to prioritize investments and avoid overlap/cannibalization.
• Translate strategic goals into prioritized, time-boxed feature roadmaps (quarterly or SAFe PI planning) balancing run-the-business updates with growth initiatives.
• Act as the translator between vertical requirements (retail, hospitality, events) and engineering language while monitoring PCI/EMV updates, competitor analysis and customer feedback.
• Define launch plans (positioning, pricing, training, documentation), coordinate with Sales/Marketing/Support, and assist Sales with technical expertise on complex, regulated deals.
• Onboard and manage external partners (terminal manufacturers, component suppliers, certification labs), overseeing SLAs, forecasting, defect escalations, contract negotiations and risk mitigation.
