Jobbeschreibung

Product Engineer (Operations & Deployment)
HYBRID (EU Based)
Full-time
Who we are

At Jaipur Robotics, we’re building AI-powered solutions that transform the waste industry — turning complex data into automation, efficiency, and environmental impact. As a fast-growing, VC-backed clean-tech startup based in Switzerland, we work with leading waste operators across Europe and are now scaling our hardware and operations capabilities to support rapid deployment in the field.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a hands-on, high-potential engineer to support the development, integration, deployment, and continuous improvement of our hardware systems. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of engineering, operations, and field execution.

You’ll work on integrating hardware systems end-to-end, ensuring seamless interaction between components, and contributing to the development of new products for emerging business units. From prototyping and testing new solutions to preparing installations and collaborating with suppliers, you’ll gain full exposure to how hardware products are built, deployed, and scaled in a fast-growing robotics company.

You’ll be directly involved in building, testing, and deploying real-world systems used in industrial environments across Europe. This includes hands-on work on prototypes, supporting system integration, and ensuring reliable performance in the field.

You’ll be trusted with real ownership from day one — learning fast, solving practical problems, and contributing directly to both product innovation and operational excellence. If you enjoy working with your hands, taking systems from concept to deployment, and seeing your work operate in real-world conditions, this role is designed for you.

This is a hybrid role. When not traveling for installations or working on hardware, you are welcome to work remotely. We value in-person collaboration for prototyping, testing, system integration, onboarding, and key project phases, with regular time spent at our headquarters in Lugano.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and prototyping of hardware components and systems , from early concepts to functional solutions Assemble, test, and validate hardware setups , ensuring reliability and performance in real-world conditions
  • Prepare and manage hardware kits and materials for installations across customer sites
  • Coordinate and execute on-site installations , working closely with customers and internal teams
  • Monitor and improve hardware performance through testing, troubleshooting, and iterative optimization
  • Manage inventory and hardware logistics , ensuring availability of components and efficient stock handling
  • Support and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers , including sourcing and coordination
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate field feedback into product improvements
  • Contribute to documentation, processes, and best practices for scaling hardware operations and deployments
  • Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and reliability across all hardware-related activities
What we offer
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market
  • Opportunity to join a VC-backed, fast-scaling clean-tech company, with direct exposure to leadership
  • Hands-on onboarding in Lugano covering product, hardware systems, and deployment processes
  • Real ownership and learning curve across hardware, operations, and field engineering
  • A highly practical role with visible impact on deployed systems and customer success
  • Travel & expense policy fully covered for installations and site visits
  • Flexible work setup: hybrid across Europe with regular in-person
Requirements
  • 0–3 years of experience in hardware, mechanical, mechatronics, or robotics engineering (internships included)
  • Strong hands-on attitude — comfortable with building, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting physical systems
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or embedded systems
  • Ability to work across both technical development and operational tasks (inventory, logistics, fieldwork)
  • Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments and on-site installations
  • Good communication skills in English

Based in Europe and willing to travel regularly for installations and on-site work

Nice to Have
  • Background in mechanical engineering or mechatronics (preferred over purely software profiles)
  • Experience with prototyping tools (CAD, 3D printing, Raspberry, etc.)
  • Exposure to field engineering, installations, or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with supply chain, manufacturing, or hardware sourcing
  • Italian or German language skills
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Interest in robotics, automation, and real-world industrial applications
