Lonza Group Ltd. is seeking a Procurement Functional SME in Basel to lead end-to-end GCC S2P process design and readiness within our ERP transformation program.

You will align with global standards, collaborate across Procurement, ERP, and business stakeholders, and drive workshops to embed procurement requirements in cross-functional decisions. The role requires a Master’s in a related field and 10+ years in procurement or transformation, preferably in global organizations.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain transformation, shared services, GBS, or operating model design.
• Strong expertise in designing and optimizing procurement and supply chain processes within GCCs or shared services.
• Proven track record supporting GBS/SSC implementations and SAP S/4HANA programs.

• Support transition and service readiness with effective controls, training materials, and Day-1 readiness.
• Establish and monitor service performance frameworks, including SLAs and KPIs, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Identify automation and standardized best practices to scale procurement operations.

The Procurement Functional SME will be responsible for the end-to-end design and readiness of the future GCC procurement processes ensuring strong alignment between the retained organisation, the existing GBSO landscape, and the ongoing ERP transformation programme. Acting as the functional anchor for Procurement within the broader GBS transformation, the role will translate Design Authority principles into fit-for-purpose GCC procurement processes within the defined in-scope areas.

What you will do:

• Lead the design of GCC Source-to-Pay (S2P) procurement processes, ensuring alignment with global procurement standards, policies, and ERP templates.
• Define future-state operating models and foster collaboration between Procurement, GBSO, ERP teams, business stakeholders, and governance bodies.
• Drive procurement design workshops and ensure procurement requirements are embedded in cross-functional decisions and transformation initiatives.
• Review, validate, and govern procurement process documentation, workflows, SOPs, and AI-generated outputs to ensure quality and operational readiness.
• Support transition and service readiness by ensuring effective controls, hand-offs, training materials, and Day-1 operational capability.
• Establish and monitor service performance frameworks, including SLAs, KPIs, risk management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and champion automation, digital enablement, and standardized best practices to deliver scalable and efficient procurement operations.

What we are looking for:

• Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are highly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain transformation, shared services, GBS, or operating model design, ideally within complex global organizations.
• Strong expertise in designing and optimizing procurement and supply chain processes within Global Capability Centers (GCCs) or shared services environments.
• Proven track record supporting GBS/SSC implementations and large-scale ERP transformations, particularly SAP S/4HANA programs.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, service delivery models, performance frameworks, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple workstreams.
• Experience in consulting environments, familiarity with AI-enabled process documentation tools, and exposure to the life sciences or CDMO industry are strong advantages.
