Zusammenfassung

Lonza Visp, Switzerland is seeking a Process Excellence Specialist to lead operational excellence across assigned supply chain areas, driving structured continuous improvement projects from opportunity to sustainment.

In this office-first role with 20% remote work, you will define KPIs, root-cause analyses, and action plans, coach teams in Lean methodologies, and collaborate across Planning, Inventory, Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Finance, EHS and Digital.

Qualifikationen

  • Proven experience in Supply Chain, Operational Excellence or related environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean and structured problem-solving tools (A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, SIPOC, FMEA, RCA).
  • Strong project management, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Identify, prioritize and deliver supply chain improvement opportunities aligned with business strategy and operational goals.
  • Lead end-to-end projects including root-cause analysis, action planning, execution, governance and benefit realization.

The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocationassistanceis available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

The Process Excellence Specialist is the Operational Excellence lead for assigned Supply Chain areas and drives structured continuous improvement projects from opportunity identification through verified sustainment.

The role establishes clear problem statements, baselines, KPIs, root-cause analyses, action plans, ownership and timelines, and ensures that agreed actions are completed and deliver measurable results. Working in a matrix organization, the role leads Supply Chain initiatives and supports cross-functional projects by mobilizing the most suitable subject-matter experts while retaining project governance and momentum.

This is an office‑first role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week), and with collaboration and occasional travel within the sites network and HQ.

What we are looking for:

Proven experience in Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement or a related environment.

Advanced knowledge of Lean and structured problem-solving tools, including A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, SIPOC, FMEA, RCA and Pareto analysis.

Strong project management, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to analyze complex operational data, identify validated root causes and implement effective countermeasures.

Experience influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes, ideally within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Excellent communication, visual management and executive reporting skills.
