Principal Researcher - Usability and CX Lab

You will be responsible for leading and documenting different tests using methodologies such as A/B testing, unmoderated usability tests and VR concept testing in addition to moderated formative usability evaluations. You will be responsible to lead and document studies aimed to provide insights for the development team to improve the design as well as to provide objective evidence that the design outputs of a certain phase in the product development life-cycle are meeting all requirements.

Contract duration: 12 months/possible extension

Location: Rotkreuz

Workload: Full time

Responsibilities:

• Identify user profiles, tasks, hazard-related use scenarios, usability risks and requirements
• Responsible for translating UX research insights, user needs, business requirements and technical requirements into pleasant and efficient User Experiences
• Plan and execute formative usability studies
• Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior designers supporting them on professional development, output and productivity
• Cooperate with the UX and Human Factors team to identify synergies and improve our processes, shared methods and templates
• Advocate for accessibility, quality and usability for end-users
• Support team members on the usability testing process and methods

Requirements:

• BSc in Science, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, Human Factors Engineering or other related technical field
• Min.4 years of experience in a similar role
• You have experience with formative evaluations methods, including usability testing
• You have experience collecting and analazing physiological and behavioral data
• You have excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate know-how, experiences, ideas, solutions and deliverables effectively and persuasively
• You are knowledgeable about tools or platforms to automate usability testing
• You like to stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to usability testing and other formative evaluation methods
