ETH Zürich is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow or Process Engineer to join the SNSF ABSOLUTE project, under the X-ray Imaging Professorship. You will develop and optimize metal-assisted chemical etching for high-aspect-ratio silicon microstructures, collaborating with academia and industry for X-ray optical components.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in cleanroom semiconductor processing including photolithography and SEM.

Aufgaben

• Fabricate and process samples on 4-inch silicon wafers using UV photolithography, thin-film deposition, thermal treatments, and MacEtch
• Perform structural and dimensional characterization using optical microscopy, SEM, and profilometry
• Document fabrication procedures, results, and experimental findings in a structured and traceable manner
• Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and contribute to project deliverables
• Present research outcomes at international conferences and internal workshops
• Disseminate results through high-impact scientific publications and collaborative research activities
