ETH Zurich invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher or Process Engineer to advance MacEtch testing for silicon microstructures used in X-ray imaging. You will work under guidance from a micro- and nanofabrication specialist, collaborating with academic and industry partners to improve fabrication reliability and scalability.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in a related field and have hands-on SEM, photolithography, and cleanroom experience.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in semiconductor cleanroom environments with hands-on photolithography and SEM expertise.
• Experience in silicon etching and MEMS fabrication; translational research is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Expand and enhance MacEtch testing capabilities across feature sizes and aspect ratios.
• Investigate defect formation, optimize process parameters, assess scalability.
• Document procedures, results and findings in a structured, traceable manner.
• Present research outcomes at conferences and in publications.
• Collaborate with academic and industrial researchers to advance fabrication technologies.
