Job summary

Ligentec is seeking a Quality Engineer to embed world-class quality into development and manufacturing of low-loss integrated photonics platforms. You will bridge prototype operations, technology transfer, and scalable production across Switzerland and France, driving continuous improvement, maintaining our ISO 9001 QMS, and partnering with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on quality engineering experience in semiconductors, MEMS, microelectronics, photonics, or high-tech hardware.
• Strong root-cause analysis, CAPA, and core quality tools (FMEA, SPC).
• Experience maintaining ISO 9001 QMS and driving Six Sigma projects is a plus.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• NPI & Quality in Development: define quality gates and qualification criteria for new photonics platforms between local and industrial foundry facilities.
• Risk Management: conduct risk assessments and design/process FMEAs for changes.
• Operations & Manufacturing Quality: work with prototype, test, and production teams to optimize processes and yield.
• Defect Resolution & CAPA: lead non-conformance management and root-cause analysis with CAPA follow-through.
• Quality Control & SPC: establish SPC frameworks, control plans and outgoing quality checks.
• QMS Maintenance & Audits: update SOPs, support internal and supplier audits and ISO 9001 adherence.
• Cross-Functional & PMO Support: embed Lean/Six Sigma into operations and report KPIs to leadership.
