Job summary

LIGENTEC in Ecublens, Switzerland, is seeking a Photonics Quality Engineer to embed quality into development and manufacturing of SiN and TFLN platforms. You will define quality gates, run qualification tests, and drive CAPA across Switzerland and France, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in semiconductor/photonics quality, strong root-cause methods (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone), and English fluency with French a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on quality engineering experience within semiconductors, MEMS, microelectronics, photonics, or high-tech hardware environments.
• Structured root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone), CAPA management, and core quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Control Plans).
• ISO 9001 QMS maintenance and continuous improvement frameworks; Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• NPI & Quality in Development: Define quality gates, qualification test plans, and reliability criteria for photonics platforms (SiN, TFLN) deployed between local cleanrooms and a 200mm foundry.
• Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, including D/P-FMEAs for changes and core processes.
• Operations & Manufacturing Quality: Collaborate with prototype, test, and production teams to optimize yield and quality metrics.
• Defect Resolution & CAPA: Lead non-conformance management and root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Quality Control & SPC: Establish SPC frameworks and control plans at critical production stages.
• QMS Maintenance & Audits: Update SOPs and support ISO 9001 audits; drive internal/external audits.
• Cross-Functional & PMO Support: Apply Lean/Six Sigma for feasibility, prototyping, and volume production; track KPIs.
