Lightium AG seeks an IP and Patent Engineer to grow its patent portfolio and secure freedom-to-operate for its thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) platform. You will draft disclosures, work with internal teams, and coordinate with leading patent attorneys to strengthen Lightium’s IP position.

You will leverage a PhD background and 3+ years in photonics, with proficiency in PatSnap and PatOffice, to protect Lightium’s innovative technologies and collaborate across R&D and legal partners.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree required; PhD preferred in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in photonics or integrated photonics.

Aufgaben

• IP extraction and disclosure drafting with R&D teams to support patent filings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external patent attorneys to draft claims and figures.
• Monitor competitor IP and Freedom-to-Operate analyses; track patent families and docket numbers.
• Coordinate with external law firms for patent prosecution and responses to examination reports.
• Maintain thorough documentation and SOPs; train staff on disclosure quality and IP processes.
• Stay updated on photonics advancements and contribute to Lightium’s IP strategy.
