ETH Zurich invites applications for a Doctoral Student to study the impacts of climate and hydrological extremes on water quality. Hosted by the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science at ETH Zurich and SLF, this project is part of the NCCR CLIM+ program funded by SNSF, offering interdisciplinary collaboration.

The position requires a MSc in hydrology or climate/environmental sciences, strong programming in Python or R, and English proficiency for international work.

Qualifikationen

• MSc degree in hydrology, climate sciences, or related field.
• Strong hydrological process knowledge.
• Experience with statistical or data-driven modeling.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and/or R.
• Experience with large hydro-meteorological datasets.
• Very good English communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Study the effect of climate and hydrological extremes on water quality.
• Develop data-driven models to predict water quality under climate change.
• Publish results in scientific journals and present at national and international conferences.
