Zusammenfassung

ETH Zürich invites applications for a Doctoral Student to study how climate and hydrological extremes affect water quality. The position is hosted by the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science at ETH Zurich and the WSL-SLF, within the NCCR CLIM+ program.

The project combines hydrology, climate science and data-driven modeling, with opportunities to publish in international journals and present at conferences.

Qualifikationen

  • MSc degree in hydrology, climate sciences, environmental sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Strong hydrological process knowledge.
  • Experience in statistical and/or data-driven modeling.
  • Strong programming skills (Python and/or R).
  • Experience working with large datasets (hydrological/meteo/climate).
  • Excellent oral and written English; other language skills are an asset.

Aufgaben

  • Study the effect of climate and hydrological extremes on water quality.
  • Develop data-driven models to predict water quality under climate change.
  • Publish results in scientific journals and present at conferences.
