The European Geosciences Union e.V. invites applications for a doctoral student position examining how climate and hydrological extremes affect water quality.

The project integrates climate, hydrology, and data science to understand nutrient dynamics and oxygen levels under future climate scenarios. You will develop data-driven models, work with large datasets, publish in scientific journals, and present at conferences within an international team, using Python or R, and you should communicate

Qualifikationen

  • MSc degree in hydrology, climate sciences, environmental sciences, or related field.
  • Strong hydrological process knowledge.
  • Experience in statistical and/or data-driven modeling.
  • Strong programming skills (Python and/or R).
  • Excellent English communication.

Aufgaben

  • Study the effect of climate and hydrological extremes on water quality.
  • Develop data-driven models to predict water quality under climate change.
  • Publish results in scientific journals and present at conferences.
