Job summary

Enova Consulting in Lausanne, Switzerland, is seeking a Payload Systems Engineer to lead space payload design and system engineering efforts. You will act as SME for vendors, defining interfaces, performing SWaP-C analysis and guiding mission analysis across multiple subsystems.

The role involves collaboration in an international R&D environment, coordination with subcontractors, and participation in qualification, integration, and test campaigns.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Engineering (SatCom, Spacecraft Systems, Telecommunications, Electronics, Digital Systems or similar).
• 8–10 years proven experience in the space / satcom industry.
• Strong experience in SatCom and payload architectures for LEO / MEO / GEO / HEO.
• Experience in HW/SW design, development and integration for space applications.
• Experience in digital design for space communications and digital regenerative payloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mission analysis for space system requirements and their downflow to lower tiers.
• Define interfaces (digital, electrical, RF, optical, mechanical/thermal) and perform SWaP-C analysis.
• Review subsystem design and participate in co-design activities with teams.
