EXVAL is seeking a Cafeteria Worker/Cook for a full-time role under a 180-day contract. The position includes 20 hours per week with benefits and 4 paid holidays. Responsibilities cover food preparation, quality control, inventory checks, and kitchen duties in a school cafeteria setting.

Reports to the Manager Cafeteria and requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to operate standard cafeteria equipment. Training and certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as a school food service employee is desired.
• Basic math skills are required for meal planning and portioning.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Neat appearance and good work habits; able to read recipes and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Check shipments and sign invoices after verification.
• Review daily menus with manager and adjust recipes for portions.
• Prepare food per planned menu and tested recipes.
• Ensure food quality and appealing presentation before serving.
• Record food withdrawn and manage storage of leftovers.
• Assist in cleaning and daily kitchen upkeep.
• Help collect meal payments and move equipment as needed.
• Stand-in for manager during absence and participate in training.
