• Help manage inventory by putting away delivered food and supplies and rotating stock using the FIFO method.

Job Title: Food Service Worker Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt

Reports to: Cafeteria Manager Pay Grade: AUX PG 1

Dept./School: Child Nutrition Department Minimum Salary: $15.89/hour

Primary Purpose:

Prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements. Maintain high standards of

quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.

Food Preparation and Serving

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Continual standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing (ladder), moderate lifting and carrying (up to 40 pounds); moderate exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures. Must be able to work in a noisy environment with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.
