Job summary

Lakota Local School District is seeking a part-time Child Nutrition Cook (.75 FTE) to prepare, cook, and assemble meals for student service, following standardized recipes and the Ohio Uniform Food Safety Code. This role supports daily cafeteria operations with attention to safety and quality.

Work schedule: 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, 184 days per school year. Starting wage is $15.47 per hour, commensurate with experience; ServSafe certification required and must be kept current.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid ServSafe® Food Safety Program for Managers certification required and must remain current.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a food service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble meals for student meal service in accordance with standardized recipes and the Ohio Uniform Food Safety Code. This position supports daily cafeteria operations by ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.
