Are you a professional seeking a new challenge in a dynamic and fast-developing business? We invite you to join our team as an Outside Sales Engineer for Austria and Switzerland within the Flow Control organization. You can be based in Austria, South Bavaria (Germany), or Switzerland.

This position is part of Emerson’s Isolation Valves division, which aims to grow our business in Austria and Switzerland. You will work with existing customers, primarily in German, and approach new potential customers to tailor our solutions to their needs. If you enjoy traveling, are fluent in German, and excel at engaging with customers by providing high levels of service, this might be the right opportunity for you!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
  1. Establish, expand, and acquire new customers as the first point of contact for comprehensive customer support in valve technology in the region.
  2. Actively visit and support existing customers.
  3. Prepare customer inquiries for processing by the back office.
  4. Manage and further develop Emerson’s market position by understanding customer business drivers & goals and staying updated on their situations.
  5. Prepare and be responsible for an annual booking budget by product, value, and period.
  6. Work in team projects for integrated requests.
  7. Participate in relevant industry events.

For This Role, You Will Need :
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Affinity for technology and innovations, with good technical understanding.
  • Proficiency in English and German.
  • Availability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart :
  • Experience in industrial automation, with knowledge of similar technical products (isolation valves, actuators) and industries (breweries, refineries, chemical, petrochemical, steel manufacturing, resellers, EPCs, OEMs).
