The Director Solution Area Specialists - Data & AI is a leader within our Specialist Sales Organization. The role involves leading, developing, and managing a team of Sales Specialists and a Specialized Sales Manager. Join our organization, covering all industries, to discover and qualify new leads.

Drive consumption with new and existing customers, identify market and customer needs, and collaborate with internal teams to devise solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Customer Engagement: Bring impactful industry insights into customer engagements, close deals, and influence internal teams. Act as a thought leader to advise on digital transformation and lead strategic projects.
  2. Lead Generation and Opportunity Management: Orchestrate lead generation activities, guide team members on campaigns, lead conversations with high-potential customers, and build pipelines.
  3. Business Growth: Drive consumption and growth with existing strategic customers, ensuring rapid deployment and increased workloads.
  4. Customer Needs Assessment: Assess customer needs, articulate vision, and collaborate on solutions aligning with priorities, leveraging market trends and community knowledge.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with top leaders and decision-makers, acting as a technical advisor and expanding relationships.
  6. Deal Strategy and Closure: Develop strategies for high-value opportunities, ensure alignment with account plans, and lead deal planning to drive closure.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and 5-8+ years of sales management experience or 10+ years in solution sales for Data & AI Azure/Cloud solutions.
  • Experience in managing multi-million-dollar cloud deals and leading dispersed, virtual teams.
  • Proven people management skills, ability to coach and inspire diverse teams, and strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Understanding of partner ecosystems and leveraging partner solutions.
  • Language skills in German and/or French are preferred alongside English.
Responsibilities
  • Lead pipeline and sales management to achieve revenue and consumption targets.
  • Foster strong partnerships across teams and with customers to identify new opportunities.
  • Develop a high-performing team through hiring, development, and leadership.
  • Coach sellers to adopt a challenger mentality and lead with insights.
  • Engage at CxO level to support opportunity discovery and customer value.
  • Collaborate with partners to co-sell and accelerate deal size and speed.
