Job summary

Jobup is seeking an Operations Manager for the Technical Office in Mesocco, Graubünden. You will lead the operational maintenance team, plan road maintenance on cantonal and national roads, and supervise multiple maintenance groups across the district.

The role requires a Master builder or foreman diploma, several years in road construction or maintenance, and strong leadership with an entrepreneurial mindset. Fluency in Italian and knowledge of German are expected.

Operations Manager

Technical Office | 80-100 % | Mesocco

The Technical Office is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of cantonal roads, as well as hydraulic works and slow mobility in Graubünden. In addition, we take care of the operational maintenance of national roads within the canton. The cantonal road infrastructure includes over 1450 structures, including bridges up to 90 metres high and tunnels up to 3 kilometres long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton conceals in summer and winter make our work demanding and varied. As a certified office with the Friendly Work Space label, the health and satisfaction of our approximately 480 employees are particularly important to us. For this reason, we are committed to systematic health management in the company (GSA). For the road maintenance department in district 2 Mesocco, we are looking for from 1 January 2027 or by agreement an operations manager.

What we expect from you

• Master builder or foreman diploma
• Several years of experience in road construction or maintenance
• Leadership experience and entrepreneurial spirit
• Assertiveness and initiative
• High degree of autonomy and sense of responsibility
• Good IT skillsThe general working language is Italian, good knowledge of German is assumed
