Job summary

Graubünden Civil Engineering Office in Mesocco is seeking a Head of Operations to lead the operational maintenance team and oversee cantonal and national road maintenance. The role is based in Mesocco, with 80–100% capacity, starting 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

You will plan deployments for four maintenance groups, manage around 30 staff, and support construction tasks. Italian is the working language; German knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Qualification as foreman or construction manager
• Several years of experience in road construction or maintenance
• Leadership experience and entrepreneurial thinking
• Independence and sense of responsibility
• Good IT user skills
• Working language Italian; German knowledge required

Responsibilities

• Professional and personnel management of the operational maintenance team
• Planning and execution of the operational maintenance of cantonal and national roads
• Deployment planning of four maintenance groups with ~30 employees, vehicles and equipment
• Support of Construction Department with maintenance tasks for cantonal roads
• Providing on-call duty as operations manager
