Aufgaben

• Faire avancer la détection d'anomalies dans l'ETRM via outils internes et données historiques.
• Documenter et formaliser les méthodologies et assurer leur mise à jour.
• Contribuer au maintien et à l'évolution des bases de code, assurer leur durabilité et support.
• Concevoir et déployer des solutions d'automatisation et IA pour le Market Risk.
• Analyser et reporter les événements de risque opérationnel et réaliser les analyses causales.
• Standardiser les solutions IA et accélérer l'adoption en entreprise.

Contexte et environnement

TotalEnergies trading entities (TTE) are responsible for the development and the management of a portfolio of commercial outlets for oil and oil products, natural gas, natural gas liquids, shale gas, liquefied natural gas, power, emissions certificates, and dry bulk products in Europe, the United States and Asia.

The position holder works within the Market Risk Transformation department and interacts with all the trading organization. The fast-paced trading environment requires the jobholder to be able to work autonomously and within the team. Position requires daily interaction with other departments within the organization notably Front Office, Operations, Market Risk functions, Finance, Compliance and IT. Attention to be given to Regulations, Industry and contractual deadlines have been respected, requiring good ability to plan and work under time pressure.

The jobholder works within a Market Risk function and must be able to work effectively in a dynamic and open environment.

Main activities:

• Support the advancement of anomaly detection in the ETRM by utilizing available internal tools or developing algorithms to verify the accuracy of transactions entered in the ETRM, using historical trades and market data as references
• Ensure project documentation and methodologies are fully formalized, maintained, and kept up to date
• Own, maintain, and enhance existing codebases solutions, ensuring their continuity, scalability, and long-term support. hands-on experience developing with LLMs (e.g. Claude, prompt engineering, AI-assisted coding) required
• Contribute to the design and deployment of automation and AI solutions for Market Risk, identifying innovative opportunities to enhance project efficiency and strengthen historical risk control processes
• Assist the team in analysing and reporting Operational Risk events and perform forensic and root cause analysis
• Supported the standardization of AI solutions, accelerating business adoption and scalability

• Assist teams in developing and enhancing business process tools by integrating AI capabilities whenever relevant
• Analyse the Operational Risk events to identify root causes and risk drivers
• Support the implementation of mitigation measures to prevent errors or fraud on physical and financial transactions
• Promote a culture of speaking up, transparency and risk management within the organisation

Purpose

• Responsible for the development of Proof of Concept Tools & Algorithm supporting Market Risk Transformation
• Accurate and timely management of all projects and their respective deadlines
• Promote the Operational risk approach, transparency and risk management within the organization
• Contribute to reducing risks of loss linked to trading operations by leveraging process improvements
• Effective communication with numerous departments on change management
• Demonstrate strong autonomy and solid communication skills

Profil du candidat

• Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Business field
• Proven experience in data analysis algorithm development
• Strong analytical capabilities, with proficiency in coding languages (python mandatory) and initial experience in developing AI-driven tools
• Technical context: Data processing, Python, LLMs, Claude Code, Databricks
