Zusammenfassung

CERN's SY-BI group in the Accelerator Systems Department invites applications for a role developing and operating instruments to observe particle beams, focusing on next-generation beam-position monitoring systems and high-speed data-acquisition platforms.

You will work at the intersection of digital electronics, embedded systems, real-time DSP, and accelerator physics, with opportunities to contribute to HDL/FPGA, SoC, and collaboration with engineers, physicists, and technicians across CERN.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or PhD with specified post-graduation experience.
• Background in electronic engineering or related field.
• Experience with FPGA and SoC development and HDL.
• Experience with digital signal processing.

Aufgaben

• Develop, integrate and test FPGA gateware and embedded SoC firmware for a SoC device.
• Implement data acquisition and data processing logic and real-time digital signal-processing algorithms.
• Validate system performance in laboratory and accelerator environments.
• Perform data analysis in Python.
• Assist measurement campaigns in the accelerator complex.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers, physicists, and technicians from different teams across CERN.
