Zusammenfassung

CERN in Geneva invites applications for a role in the SY-BI group within the Accelerator Systems Department. You will help develop next-generation beam-position monitoring systems for CERN’s injector complex, including the pre-accelerators and Antimatter Decelerator, and work on high-speed data-acquisition platforms.

This hands-on position sits at the crossroads of digital electronics, embedded systems, real-time signal processing, and accelerator physics, with a focus on FPGA/HDL development

Qualifikationen

Master’s degree with 2–6 years of professional experience since graduation, or a PhD with ≤3 years post-graduation experience.
Bachelor’s degree alone is not eligible.
Citizenship: national of CERN Member State or Associate Member State; some national exclusions apply.

Aufgaben

Develop next-generation beam-position monitoring systems for CERN’s injector complex, including the pre-accelerators and Antimatter Decelerator.
Work on high-speed data-acquisition platforms combining fast digitisers with advanced System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies.
