Zusammenfassung

CERN's SY-BI group in the Accelerator Systems Department develops instruments for beam observation and property measurement critical to accelerator operation and future upgrades. You will contribute to next-generation beam-position monitoring for CERN’s injector complex, working on high-speed data-acquisition platforms with SoC technologies and FPGA gateware.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience or PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience with FPGA/SoC development and HDL (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Knowledge of digital electronics and XYZ skill.

Aufgaben

• Develop, integrate and test FPGA gateware and embedded SoC firmware for a SoC device.
• Implement data acquisition and real-time digital signal-processing algorithms.
• Validate system performance in laboratory and accelerator environments.
• Perform data analysis in Python.
• Assist measurement campaigns in the accelerator complex.
• Collaborate with engineers, physicists, and technicians across CERN.
