Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking an Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to lead front‑line HSE activities on offshore facilities, ensuring adherence to safety, health and environmental standards while supporting sustainable operations across the asset lifecycle.

The role emphasizes monitoring HSE policies, conducting inspections, and driving a risk‑based safety culture with contractors and staff, under the Offshore Boots-on-Deck framework.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management in offshore oil and gas.
• Proficiency in English at least B1 level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety culture and drive risk-based safety initiatives.
• Monitor and support HSE policies, procedures and programs offshore.
• Manage personnel and ensure roles are understood by staff and contractors.
• Control work by verifying safety practices and equipment readiness.
• Lead incident reporting, investigation and HSSE training.
• Carry out emergency response readiness and drills.
