GHOL, the reference hospital for the Western Lake Geneva region with facilities in Nyon and Rolle, invites you to join as a senior nurse leading geriatric care within the EMS “Les Jardins du Léman.” You will develop autonomous nursing practice, lead a diverse team, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.

You bring a Bachelor of Science HES-SO in Nursing, strong communication and empathy, and EMS or acute care experience is a plus, to help provide high-quality life for residents.

Job description:

In your new role, your duties will impact the quality of care for the residents. Your role will notably include,

• Developing the autonomous nursing role and nursing attitude: organising, planning, and implementing the care of residents within the geriatric or psycho-geriatric service of the EMS
• Ensuring leadership of the nursing team (composed of nursing assistants, ASA, nursing aides, and ASSC)
• Developing personalised care for residents
• Collaborating within an interdisciplinary team
• Communicating and recording observations in a targeted and relevant manner in the residents’ electronic records
• Supervising nursing students and ASSC apprentices

Required profile:

We are confident in your rapid success in your future role thanks to your:

• Strong interest in the care of elderly and/or dependent persons and/or those with cognitive disorders
• Assertiveness in the role; experience in EMS or acute care would be an asset
• Patience, empathy, active listening, high skills in verbal and non-verbal communication
• Good physical and psychological resilience

Education level:

Bachelor of Science HES-SO in Nursing required (or equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross)
