Job summary

HEKS seeks a motivated Database Manager for its Zurich or Lausanne location to assist with a migration, train users on the new system, and maintain manuals. The role is 30-60% and includes support for technical problems with partners, ensuring data accuracy, and contributing to interfaces and reports.

The position prioritizes database proficiency, precision, and strong social skills, with flexible hours and a possible home office option. Start date: 1 February 2027.

Qualifications

• Very good German and French skills, English an advantage
• A flair for databases and numbers
• Precise, careful, and independent working style

• Flexibility for a higher workload March-August 2027
• Interest in the asylum and migration sector, prior knowledge an advantage

Responsibilities

• Accompanying the upcoming database migration
• Introduction to the database, training for users
• Maintenance of manuals and instructions (knowledge documentation)
• Support for database users with technical problems in cooperation with the external partner
• Controlling database entries
• Maintenance of internal and external interfaces
• Monthly reporting to the State Secretariat for Migration
• Participation in the further development of the database
• Managing user profiles and making simple adjustments to the database
• Statistics for annual reports and donors
