Bally Capital Advisors is a FINMA-licensed independent asset manager serving high-net-worth individuals and families. We are looking for an experienced Middle Office Specialist to strengthen our team in Saint-Prex. This full-time, on-site role involves supporting the implementation and follow-up of investment decisions, monitoring client portfolios daily (positions, cash, investment limits and performance), and managing administrative tasks related to client accounts, custodian banks and internal processes. You will work closely with our Relationship Managers, assisting with client requests, reporting, meeting preparation and follow-ups. The role also includes supporting FINMA regulatory preparation and audits, working with internal teams and external auditors, and ensuring everything is accurate, compliant and properly documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation and follow-up of investment decisions, including order execution and trade checks with custodian banks
- Monitoring client portfolios daily, including positions, cash, investment limits and performance - Reconciling positions and transactions between our portfolio management system and custodian banks, and resolving any discrepancies
- Checking that portfolios comply with each client's investment mandate, risk profile and restrictions - Following up on corporate actions, cash movements and client instructions
- Calculating and controlling management and performance fees, and supporting client invoicing - Preparing periodic client reports and performance reviews
- Managing administrative tasks related to client accounts, custodian banks and internal processes, including account opening documentation
- Assisting Relationship Managers with client requests, reporting, meeting preparation and follow-ups - Supporting compliance with KYC and AML documentation and periodic client reviews
- Supporting FINMA regulatory preparation and audits, working with internal teams, the supervisory organisation and external auditors
- Maintaining and improving internal procedures, controls and documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve and automate processes
- Supervising and training junior staff and interns
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in the finance sector, ideally in asset management, private banking or wealth management
- Solid understanding of financial markets, investment products and portfolio management
- Experience with portfolio monitoring, reconciliations, client account administration and coordination with custodian banks
- Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment; advanced experience with FINMA requirements and audits
- Excellent organisational skills and a real eye for detail
- Able to work independently while enjoying being part of a close-knit team
- Fluent English, written and spoken; French is a plus
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel; experience with portfolio management systems is an advantage
