Finger Lakes Community Health (FLCH) is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform initial patient screenings, collect vitals, and health history during rooming. The MA ensures clinicians have necessary information to deliver primary and preventive care.

The role requires flexibility, CPR certification, and bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Benefits include medical/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401k with 3% Safe Harbor, robust PTO, and education reimbursement.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certification Required.
• Prior experience a plus, but not required.
• The ability to work flexible hours -- some evenings are required.
• The ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English preferred, but not required.
• A valid New York State driver’s license in compliance with FLCH drivers’ policy

Aufgaben

• Prepare clinical area for building opening or closing in accordance with Finger Lakes Community Health hours of operation.
• Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and clinical areas according to clinical infection control procedures.
• Restock rooms with medical supplies.
• Assess inventory and place order for medical supplies.
• Perform Quality Control measures including but not limited to monthly control testing and equipment inspections.
• Attend morning huddle with patient care team to address patient concerns.
• Review patient information during pre-visit planning to ensure appointments are scheduled and information received.
• Obtain patient vitals and history during patient rooming process.
• Notify nurse or provider of abnormal findings during rooming process.
• Assist with minor procedures and exams as outlined in NYS clinical scope of practice.
• Perform patient screenings as outlined in NYS clinical scope of practice.
• Complete phlebotomy and lab collection and handling as outlined in NYS clinical scope of practice.
