Zusammenfassung

Flexion in Zürich is seeking a hands-on Robotics Engineering Intern (Mechatronics) to take concepts from sketch to working hardware on our humanoid robot fleet. You will design extensions, integrate them into our software stack, and see your parts through fabrication, testing, and field deployment.

The role emphasizes CAD design, prototyping, Linux-based development, and collaboration with experienced engineers.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing an MSc in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with robotic systems.
• Experience with at least one CAD software.
• Good programming skills in C++.
• Familiar with Linux/Ubuntu environments.
• Autonomous working style.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Aufgaben

• Design mechatronic extensions to our robot fleet (e.g., manipulators, sensor payloads).
• Maintain our robot fleet.
• Take designs from concept through CAD, prototyping, and fabrication to a robot-ready component.
• Integrate hardware with our software stack, including drivers, interfaces, and commissioning on real robots.
• Test and iterate on designs based on real-world performance and daily use.
• Support maintenance, repair, and readiness of our robot fleet.
• Document designs, integration steps, and lessons learned for the team.
