MESH AG in Switzerland is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Technician to help conceive, build and commission our automated microfactory for rebar processing. You will work with the engineering team and suppliers to sketch subsystems, define layouts, and turn concepts into reliable hardware.

The role blends design, build, and on-site commissioning, requiring strong CAD skills, a practical mindset, and willingness to travel for installations across Switzerland and abroad.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical/manufacturing discipline.
• Strong CAD skills to develop concepts and basic designs.
• Experience in mechanical design, assembly, commissioning or service.

Aufgaben

• Design and build subsystems for the microfactory, including sketches and layouts.
• Collaborate with suppliers on design and sourcing questions.
• Create CAD drawings, BOMs, and detailed layouts with engineering.
• Assemble, install, and test mechanical and mechatronic assemblies.
• Support commissioning and maintenance of subsystems.
• Travel for planned customer installations (~15%).
