Randstad in Rotkreuz seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer for transfer and automation systems to lead SME activities, drive modular mechatronic design, and mentor cross‑functional teams across the full product lifecycle.

The role requires 10+ years in mechanical design, extensive automation knowledge, and advanced simulations using FEA and kinematic tools, in a highly regulated setting. Remote work up to 20% is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in mechanical design and mechatronic product development in regulated sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of transfer systems, automation technologies, or robotic arms.
• Strong practical skills in mechanical calculations and simulation tools (FEA, motion/kinematic analysis).
• CAD tools expertise (CATIA V5/SolidWorks), SAP PLM/DVS, and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with DFX, commissioning, and mass production industrialization.
• Fluent business-level German and English; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Serve as SME for XYZ transfer systems, automated handling technologies, and precise pick-and-place mechanisms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring in mechatronic product development and projects.
• Design reusable mechatronic modules and standardized architectures for multiple product lines.
• Drive actuation sizing and perform FEA and kinematic simulations to optimize performance.
• Plan and manage work packages within scope, effort, budget, and timeline; identify risks.
• Perform tolerance analyses and root cause analyses; supervise prototypes and redesigns.
• Document technical work to regulatory standards and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, QA, regulatory, service, and suppliers.
