Metso in Baden (CH) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (gn) to join our team. You will integrate products into customer-specific solutions using 3D models, parts lists, drawings and specifications, and advance product maintenance through design optimizations.

The role requires strong 3D CAD experience (Inventor/Vault), mechanical assembly skills, and a collaborative, proactive work style. Fluency in German and English is preferred for this global team in Switzerland.

• Experience with 3D CAD / PDM tools (Inventor/Vault).
• Manufacturing and assembly experience with mechanical components.

Aufgaben

• Constructive integration of existing products into a customer-specific solution with 3D models, parts lists, drawings and specifications.
• Constructive implementation of product-specific optimizations (product maintenance).
• Integration and documentation review of auxiliary systems (purchased parts) such as gearboxes, lubrication units, valves, tools, etc. from suppliers.
• Independent planning and execution of projects with a focus on high-quality results, on-time delivery, and high customer satisfaction within the expected budget.
• Close collaboration with internal interfaces such as project management and service.
• Actively participate in R&D projects.
• Compliance with standards and norms.

Who You Are

• Several years of experience with 3D CAD / PDM (Inventor/Vault)
• Manufacturing and assembly experience with mechanical components
• Structured, independent, and goal-oriented work style
• Enthusiastic and communicative personality, proactive approach, networked thinking and action, as well as an independent and solution-oriented work style
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Responsible and conscientious
• Very Good written and spoken German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage
