CERN is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the LHCb project to contribute to CAD modelling and digital twin methods. You will work with physicists, engineers, and technicians to translate concepts into practical solutions and produce 3D models, drawings, and specification documents for installation planning and operation.
The role involves expertise in 3D CAD, CATIA V5, and ISO GPS standards, with onsite work in Switzerland.
You will join the LHCb Technical Coordination section of the LHCb group. You will be part of the LHCb design office, contributing to the CAD modelling of the LHCb detector and helping to develop LHCb digital mock-up and digital twin methodologies that will support installation planning, maintenance, and operation for the next milestones of the experiment.
