Le CHUV recherche un candidat doctoral (Md-PhD étudiant – 100%) en endocrinologie pour rejoindre l'équipe du Professor Nelly Pitteloud. Le candidat participera à un essai clinique multicentrique sur le traitement hormonal et sera impliqué dans les visites cliniques des patients, la collecte de données et l'analyse des échantillons. We are looking for a Doctoral candidate (Md-PhD student – 100%) inEndocrinology in the laboratory of Prof. Nelly Pitteloud at the University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV).

This position is for a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal for maximum four years.

The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the University of Lausanne - Faculty of Biology and Medicine and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research and training.

The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism service (Department of Medicine) is launching a multi-centric randomized double-blind clinical trial to evaluate the impact of a hormonal treatment (gonadorelin) on cognition and other clinical, biological and imaging parameters in patients with trisomy 21 based on promising pilot study (Manfredi-Lozano Met al., Science, 2022). The candidate will help carry out the clinical study in a multidisciplinary environment.

Mission

• As a member of our team, you will carry out clinical visits of patients at the CHUV Centre including cognitive tests
• You will be in charge of the recruitment of patients and inclusion visits
• You will participate to the investigations of patients recruited from other centers (Basel, Geneva - Regulartransitbetween recruitmentcenters expected)
• You will do analyses ofthe samples and data
• You will participate to the invertigations of patients recruited from other centers (e.g. Basel - Regular transit between recruitment centers possible).

Profil

• You have aDiploma in medicine; at least 1 year of clinical experience is preferred
• You are fluent in French, English and German
• You have got organizational skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team
• You are fluent in French, English and possibly German.
