Job summary

Sonar, a Geneva-born company with a global footprint, is seeking a deeply technical Marketing Technology Architect/Developer to lead data architecture, custom code, and integrations for our marketing engine. The role focuses on SFMC, data modeling, and AI-driven marketing innovations, with autonomy to design scalable infrastructure.

You will collaborate across teams to build robust pipelines, optimize high-throughput automation, and ensure security and compliance.

Qualifications

Strong SQL, data modeling, and relational database design expertise.
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0.
Proficiency in AMPscript, SSJS, JavaScript, Node.js, or Python.
Interest in MarTech AI workflows and agentic AI concepts.
Experience with SFMC, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and Data Cloud is a plus.
3+ years of technical architecture, system administration, or custom development in SFMC.

Responsibilities

Lead data architecture and ETL pipelines for Marketing Operations.
Design scalable data models, data extensions, and subscriber key lifecycles.
Develop API integrations (REST, SOAP, Webhooks) and ensure data consistency.
Ensure platform governance, security, and privacy compliance (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
Collaborate with Data Team, DevOps, and IT Security to maintain uptime and performance.
Troubleshoot complex data transformations and automation bottlenecks.
