Sereact, Zurich hub, seeks a Research Engineer to own the data generation layer of the VLA stack—teleoperation hardware and software, retargeting pipelines, and data collection infrastructure feeding Cortex. You will build systems that produce data for model training and partner with the training team on data requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience building a data collection device or system for robot learning (UMI or comparable)
• Working knowledge of retargeting algorithms for mapping human input onto robot hands or end-effectors
• Software and systems engineering skills to build/maintain infrastructure

Aufgaben

• Build and operate teleoperation systems for dexterous manipulation and retargeting
• Design and maintain scalable data collection hardware/software used by other engineers
• Benchmark control/retargeting approaches with rigorous methods
• Instrument and support physical robots in the Zurich hub and contribute to the control stack
• Collaborate with model-training to define data needs and ensure data quality
• Build tooling or infrastructure to unblock the wider team
