Zusammenfassung

Sereact seeks a Research Engineer in Zurich to own the data generation layer of the VLA stack: teleoperation hardware/software and data collection infrastructure that feeds Cortex. You will build systems that produce data for model training and collaborate with the training team on data quality.

The role focuses on hands-on robotics, retargeting, and scalable data pipelines, with close collaboration to a growing Zurich research hub and access to large-scale compute and datasets.

Qualifikationen

• MSc in robotics or related field, with manipulation/teleoperation focus.
• Hands-on experience building a data collection device or system for robot learning (UMI or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of retargeting algorithms mapping human input to robot hands or end-effectors.
• 1–2 years of robotics, mechatronics, or related engineering experience.
• Software and systems engineering skills to build infrastructure used by others.

Aufgaben

• Build and operate teleoperation systems for dexterous manipulation and retargeting.
• Design and maintain scalable data collection hardware/software for the team.
• Benchmark control and retargeting approaches with rigorous methods.
• Instrument and support Zurich hub robots, including day-to-day control stack work.
• Collaborate with model-training to define required data and ensure quality.
• Develop tooling or infrastructure to unblock the wider team.
